On March 4th, 2022, Khenpo Ogen Kelsang Rinpoche organized and presided over a Mahaparinirvana Dechö Puja offering for our late root masters, Lord of Refuge His Holiness Kyabje Dodrupchen Rinpoche and His Holiness Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche III Sangye Pema Shepa.
Dorje Sempa Ritual Offering was performed for the purification of all broken samaya vows and negative karma that we have unknowingly enacted as practitioners toward our root masters. Negative karma can create distance between teacher and student in this and future lifetimes, so we practiced to pacify this effect.
Particularly, it should be understood that students are connected with the guru’s true wisdom nature, which is the ultimate reality of all the buddhas. Breaking samaya vows can directly obstruct this connection. We practice to purify this connection and be close to our guru’s wisdom minds.
May all sentient beings recognize their true nature and become enlightened in the state of Buddhahood.
